The Real Ents

Living in the Cotswolds, I am constantly reminded of the surrounding landscape which was an inspiration for J. R. R. Tolkien. This is exceptionally apparent to me in the countless ancient trees I have stumbled upon in just my two weeks of having been here. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

To the Cotswolds!

Hey all! Sorry for the long hiatus on here; I had been quite busy getting ready for the big move. I’ll be enjoying my time in the Cotswolds for the next few months! The scenery is absolutely stunning, and I can’t wait to see more of it. I have to say though, the public footpaths through pastures and fields are really throwing me off. My deeply entrenched American culture of land ownership and privacy makes me feel so wrong every time I cut through a field; I keep waiting for some farmer to come out and chase me off his land with a shotgun.
